Summer Camp Accompanist

Located in the Berkshire Mountains of western Massachusetts, Camp Greylock is among the nation's oldest and most prestigious residential summer camps. We offer advanced instruction while emphasizing positive reinforcement and traditional values. Each summer, Greylock is home to over 300 boys (ages 7 through 16) and 180 staff members from across the U.S. and around the world.

Greylock has a varied program that includes an important drama program, where boys of all ages and skill levels are given the opportunity to be in camp shows, which are shorter versions of Broadway musicals. We are currently seeking an ACCOMPANIST to play piano and lead the music in those musicals. Each summer we stage six shows/musicals, each lasting about 45 minutes in length. We are seeking a fun, dynamic person who can create a great, fun, interesting experience and help the children learn about the excitement of performing. Participation amongst the campers is elective, so you will be working with kids who want to be a part of something special. Our musical theatre tradition at Greylock goes back to 1916 and is very important to us. Your title would be “Assistant Director of the Theatre Program.”

 Camp dates are June 15th through August 17th, 2025, with some flexibility. Responsibilities include living with children on a team of counselors. We offer a competitive salary, a beautiful outdoor work environment, and it is an incredible way to spend the summer! Housing, with laundry service and a full meal plan are also included. It’s a summer only position – not a full time job with benefits.  This is a great way to spend a summer – working with kids, teaching young boys to grow, and having a lot of fun.
