Full-Stack Developer – Internship to Paid Contract (Hybrid Model)

Commitment: 12 Hours Per Week
Compensation: Internship + Tiered Pay Model

About Us

Pelican App Solutions is looking for a full-stack developer to help build and enhance our Axe Throwing App and future projects. This role starts as an internship (four weeks unpaid) and transitions into paid contract work ($10/hour, 12 hrs/week) for committed contributors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop both frontend and backend features for our applications.
  • Work with React, JavaScript, Node.js, Firebase, PostgreSQL/MySQL.
  • Integrate APIs, authentication, and real-time features.
  • Ensure performance optimization and responsiveness across devices.
  • Solve technical challenges and bring creative solutions.

Requirements

  • Experience in React, JavaScript, Node.js, and backend databases.
  • Familiarity with API integration and security best practices.
  • Ability to debug and optimize both frontend and backend code.
  • Passion for seeing the Lafayette tech community grow.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with TypeScript, GraphQL, WebSockets, or Firebase.
  • Understanding of CI/CD, cloud deployment, and DevOps principles.
  • Interest in game development or analytics tracking.
