Broadcast Production Coordinator

Broadcast Production Coordinator – 1901 Centre Ave., Suite 305, Pittsburgh, PA 15219

Position:           Internship/Part-Time               Hours: 11-16 hours per week per schedule below.

Rate:                   $17/hour

*Schedule:      Mondays 6:30 AM-9:30 AM (3 hours)/Tuesdays 5 PM-10 PM (5 hours)/ Fridays 6:30 AM-9:30AM (3 hours)/Saturday (last of month), 11 AM-4 PM (5 hours)

About Pittsburgh’s DSEN:

Pittsburgh’s DSEN was established August 2022 by Kevin Cameron of Cameron Professional Management, LLC to fulfill a need for “community engagement, soulful and diverse entertainment programming” in the Pittsburgh market, national and international markets for individuals that have Pittsburgh and/or Soulful Entertainment interests. 

The need is being satisfied with Pittsburgh’s DSEN, a 24 hours/7 days a week mixed format Internet Radio Station that provides Soulful Music, Pittsburgh Sports Talk, Lifestyle programming and more; our mixed radio format, select programming, target markets and demographics differentiate us in “Radio” in Pittsburgh, national and international markets.

Our mission is to be the first choice for listeners that desire a single source for soulful music, sports talk and lifestyle programming with a Pittsburgh focus that satisfies the needs of a diverse listening audience!

About the Role:

This is a good opportunity for someone that has a passion for media production in a fast-paced environment for a fairly new radio station.

You will have a role on a growing team where you will contribute to the production of live and recorded content for our radio station and other distribution channels, such as YouTube. 

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Live Production: radio broadcast, live stream, monitor live programs to ensure feeds are active, coordinate in-studio programs, including camera management, audio systems, and integrating custom graphics;
  • Production Workflow: coordinate production process, this includes writing/handling program scripts, radio broadcast, live streams, recorded content, related systems and activities;
  • Assist station’s talent/team members with program information and related content;
  • Post-Production: edit programs and post to applicable distribution channels; create exciting and interesting segments for distribution;
  • Communication: effectively communicate with all team members;
  • Social Media: create and post relevant content to the station’s social media sites.

Preferred Skills, Experience or Willing to Learn:

  • Software: Radio Platform, Live Broadcast System, Telephone System; Streaming Platform, Website, Mass Text System, Auditing Recording/Editing, and others related;
  • Hardware: Computer, Production Studio Audio Mixer, Microphones, Headsets, Speakers, TVs and others related;
  • Radio broadcasting, live streaming and digital media production;
  • Leadership, communication, and multitasking skills.

 Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Field of Study: media production, communications, or a related field;
  • Passion for media production;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to work in a team environment;
  • Dependable, creative and willing to learn.
