Founding Computer Vision & Animation Engineer

📍 (San Francisco, CA) | Full-Time or Contract

We're looking for a visionary Computer Vision & Animation Engineer to bring static game assets to life. You’ll be pioneering AI-driven animation techniques that redefine how characters are created and animated. Think cutting-edge machine learning meets mind-blowing game design.

What You’ll Do

🎨 AI Animation Magic – Develop ML models that turn 2D sprites into fully rigged 2D/3D characters.
🛠 Prototype & Experiment – Push the limits of deep learning, computer vision, and animation.
🔄 Data Powerhouse – Build and optimize pipelines for collecting, preprocessing, and labeling training data.
🎮 Collaborate Like a Pro – Work with artists, designers, and engineers to bring AI-powered animation to life.
⚡ Make It Smooth & Fast – Ensure animations are real-time ready without sacrificing quality.

What You Bring

✅ ML & CV Expertise – Strong background in PyTorch, TensorFlow, and advanced computer vision.
✅ Animation & Rigging Knowledge – Experience with character animation, rigging, or game dev workflows.
✅ 3D Vision Wizardry – Camera models, bundle adjustment, photorealistic rendering—you know the drill.
✅ Pose & Shape Estimation – Human motion tracking, face/body modeling, textures—it’s your playground.

Qualifications

Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience. Exceptional candidates with a Bachelor’s and extensive experience will also be considered.
