Summer Intern

ArtsClub is seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious intern to join its small but growing team. The internship will provide experience and mentorship to current students or recent graduates interested in learning about entrepreneurship and arts education. The intern will work under ArtsClub's Operations Manager to support event coordination and assist in developing engaging art history and studio art lessons.

About ArtsClub:

ArtsClub brings people together to learn about, discuss, and create artwork. During ArtsClub's events, groups learn about notable artists throughout history (such as Claude Monet, Georgia O'Keeffe, or Jean-Michel Basquiat) and create unique artworks inspired by their styles. Each lesson consists of a brief art history lesson on the featured artist followed by an art-making session led by a studio art instructor.

ArtsClub has hosted such events for a wide range of companies including Levi's, Linkedin, Spotify, Tinder, Peloton, Chanel, Expedia, and Airbnb, as well as many student and alumni groups including those at Harvard, Howard, Columbia and NYU. ArtsClub is based in New York and DC and has additional summer pop up locations in Los Angeles and Philadelphia. This internship will be based in ArtsClub's studio in New York's East Village.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have (or be working towards) a degree in Art History or Studio Art, be able to work and solve problems independently, have strong written communication skills, and be a dedicated team player that is willing to take on any task, however big or small.

Responsibilities include:

Support the Operations Manager with marketing and sales initiatives, including outreach, research, and promotional efforts.
Assist the Social Media Manager in capturing, organizing, and curating content
Help the Studio Manager maintain inventory, restock materials, and prepare art supplies for upcoming lessons and events.
Provide general administrative support, including scheduling and responding to inquiries.
Engage with participants and visitors to create a welcoming studio environment and assist during workshops and events.
Contribute to creative projects, such as brainstorming new art activities or helping develop lesson materials.

The internship will meet Tuesday-Friday in-person at ArtsClub in the East Village. To apply, send your cover letter and resume to hello@artsclubnyc.com with the subject line: ArtsClub Summer. Only qualified candidates will be contacted.
