Architectural Summer Intern
We are a young, growing firm of energetic professionals. We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable architectural designer to work in our Norwalk, Connecticut office.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Proficiency with high end single-family residential detailing;
- Minimum bachelor's degree in architecture;
- Minimum of 2+ years (internships) work experience at an architecture firm;
- Top-tier graphics, presentation, communications, and time-management skills are required. Fluency in CAD and familiarity with Revit (Revit not required, but a major plus);
- Draft proposed floor plans and exterior elevations throughout schematic design, design development and construction document phases.
- Produce building sections, door & window schedules, interior elevations & lighting plans in the construction documents phase
- Attend site visits during construction administration phase
- Review & coordinate consultants’ drawings such as surveyor, civil and structural engineer and incorporate critical items into architectural drawings
- Review shop drawings such as steel, door & window, stair, millwork to ensure they conform with architectural drawings
- Ask questions and be proactive when coming across architectural coordination issues either on paper or in the field
- Ability to draft on multiple projects efficiently in a collaborative environment
