Finance and Administration Intern

Pramex International is a French consulting firm, gathering 135 employees in 13 countries, and dedicated to servicing small & mid-sized companies as well as successful startups. 

 

In the United States, our Corporate Management department provides our European clients with financial and administrative services for their U.S. subsidiaries, including accounting, financial reporting, tax, payroll, HR, and administrative functions, as well as advisory services in connection with new subsidiary incorporation, and setting up and managing local operations. 

 

Position Summary: 

We are looking for a dynamic Finance and Administration Intern to assist in providing high-quality financial and administrative support to our clients. This internship offers hands-on experience across accounting functions as well as development of internal procedures, along with direct collaboration with C-level executives as they fine-tune their decision tools. In this position, you will also have the opportunity to get exposure to international business operations, and to collaborate with a diverse team. Duties will include: 

  • Internal Audit and Quality Assurance
    • Conduct internal audit assignments (1 per month).
    • Present audit findings to the Pramex International Compliance Director.
    • Review compliance of permanent legal folders and ERP systems.
    • Assess internal quality metrics, including response timelines, meeting deadlines, quality of client communications, as well as compliance with the Group’s procedures and the managing team’s directions.
    • Evaluate customer satisfaction by analyzing positive and negative interactions.
  • Controlling and Performance Reporting
    • Prepare weekly dashboards tracking operational performance including, teams’ meeting deadlines, managing workflows effectively, and preparing accurate billing. Special attention will also be given to monitoring critical projects conducted by our teams such as the preparation of Tax Returns.
    • Help build KPIs and monthly dashboards to improve team management and client portfolio insights.
    • Ensure adherence to directives from managers and directors.
    • Ensure adherence to calendars and collaboration methods set by clients.
  • Applications and Solutions
    • Participate in project groups to test and deploy innovative accounting applications.
    • Collect our teams’ needs regarding specific jobs such as sales tax filing, state registrations, etc.
    • Assess the current utilization and effectiveness of tools such as Microsoft Teams, QuickBooks Online, and other applications for automation
    • Provide recommendations for improvements and better integrations.
  • Ongoing Team Support
    • Support the team as needed with general administrative tasks, such as organizing shared drives.

 

Profile and Requirements: 

  • Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a degree program in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Curious and proactive: asks insightful questions, seeks feedback, and proposes suggestions or improvements.
  • Hands on attitude, capacity to multi-task, and open to be involved in a broad range of assignments from bookkeeping to value-added consulting services.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and present data in clear and effective dashboards.
  • Knowledge of French is a plus but not required.
