- Shift time: Monday to Friday 8:30-5:00 pm
- Location: DEERFIELD, IL
- Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour (Wages are Bi-Weekly)
About the Role:
You will be responsible for optimizing the utilization of office space within the company. This role requires a strong understanding of space planning principles, building codes, and workplace trends to create efficient and productive work environments for employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Space Planning & Analysis:
Conduct space needs assessments to determine current and future space requirements for departments and teams.
Analyze space utilization data to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
Develop floor plans and space layouts that maximize efficiency, optimize workflows, and support employee collaboration.
Create 3D models and visualizations of proposed space solutions.
Conduct space audits and inspections to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
Project Management:
Manage space planning projects from inception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination with contractors and vendors.
Oversee space renovations and reconfigurations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Coordinate furniture moves and installations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Workplace Strategy:
Stay abreast of workplace trends and best practices in office design and space planning.
Conduct research and analysis on emerging workplace technologies and their impact on space utilization.
Develop and implement workplace strategies that support the company's business objectives and employee needs.
Communication & Collaboration:
Effectively communicate with stakeholders, including employees, managers, and senior leadership.
Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and other relevant professionals.
Prepare presentations and reports to communicate space planning recommendations and project progress.
Using specialized computer software CAD to create drawings, blueprints and plans
Ability to manage multiple projects with multiple deadlines.
Other Duties as Assigned:
Assist with other facilities-related projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant CAD software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with workplace change management.
- LEED accreditation or other relevant certifications.
- Experience with space management software.
Pay Disclosure:
“The pay rate for this position starts at $23.00 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonus opportunities may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered.”
