Business Development & Fundraising Coordinator

Organization: Support to Succeed

Support to Succeed is a nonprofit startup organization dedicated to supporting career entry & advancement of diverse and low-income individuals into financial services careers. Our pilot model supports low-income, working adults to pass an industry-recognized certification that can lead to front-office finance careers. We focus on utilizing principles of restorative practices to foster a sense of belonging among cohorts, providing coaching on organization and time management, providing support for trainees to navigate barriers, and academic supports that foster critical thinking skills. 

 

Dates and Hours Per Week:

  • 10 hours / week during Fall or Spring Semester

Job Title: Business Development & Fundraising Coordinator

Internship Pay Rate: $15 / hr 

Internship Responsibilities:

Provide support to our employer engagement and fundraising efforts:

  • Research and vet mission-aligned grants to apply for with key criteria and deadlines
  • Research financial institutions and professional organizations that may be targets for corporate sponsorship and develop contact lists and related project plan for outreach 
  • Deliver writing snippets and templates for grant writing or assist in submitting specific grant opportunities
  • Attend business development meetings and send follow-up communications
  • Assist with follow-up tasks resulting from business development meetings

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to write emails and communications in a compelling manner
  • Integrate information and think critically
