ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are seeking a talented and creative Social Media Intern with a passion for video editing and script writing. In this role, you will support our CEO in crafting compelling video content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to enhance your skills in storytelling and editing while making a real impact in the nonprofit and advocacy space.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the CEO to develop engaging and inspiring video scripts that highlight key messages around nonprofit work and advocacy.
  • Edit and produce high-quality video content for various social media platforms
  • Research and incorporate current trends, storytelling techniques, and platform-specific best practices into content creation.
  • Assist in brainstorming creative ideas for social media video campaigns and themes.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for improving video storytelling and content performance.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Media Studies, Film, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Kapwing, Cap Cut Pro, or equivalent).
  • Strong storytelling skills with the ability to craft clear, concise, and impactful scripts.
  • Familiarity with creating content for social media platforms, particularly Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Passion for nonprofit work, advocacy, and social justice issues.
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
