Website Designer
Job Position: Website Designer – Full Time
Location: Lowville or Watertown location
Full Time: 32-40 hours per week; spread over five days
This is not a remote position. The Web Designer (WD) is a full-time position. The WD may be expected to work from any of the Coughlin locations and must maintain a consistent schedule.
minimum deliverables:
The WD will create attractive and functional websites for our clients. The WD will also update and troubleshoot existing websites and market solutions and services to and for our clients.
CREATE: develop user-friendly and ADA accessible websites on both WordPress and Joomla! content management systems. Design and implement architecture, themes, components and plugins, page layout, and branding that exceeds client expectations. Work with all teams to create engaging content to promote products and services for Coughlin and our clients.
SHARE: collaborate with all teams to communicate mission-critical updates on department strategy and timelines. Connect with web team daily to delegate tasks and assign support tickets. Meet with clients to discuss web design and functionality and update project status.
SUPPORT: provide timely ticket responses to clients, troubleshoot content issues, offer basic CMS training, create training videos, track site performance, troubleshoot email and host issues, implement SEO strategies, and provide other support services as needed with the team.

minimum requirements:
- A.S. degree in computer science, graphic design, or related field OR comparable experience with WordPress CMS
- Good design eye and ability to manage multiple ongoing projects
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of best practices in website technologies, design, programming languages, Google analytics, SEO, and market trends
