Position Overview
The Web Services Manager is a strategic, organized, and service-oriented professional who will be responsible for front-end and back-end development of the TCC website and other web properties. The Web Services Manager will collaborate with the TCC Marketing and Communications and Information Technology (IT) teams to support the college’s website in terms of tools and best practices with design, compliance and regulatory requirements. The Manager will work with clients across the college on website requests to build new tools that support the college’s mission and goals. This is a full-time, exempt position that will be part of the Marketing and Communications team in the College Relations division. The Web Services Manager will report to the Director of Marketing in the College Relations division.
Essential Functions
Website management:
- Work with TCC’s Marketing and Communications and Information Technology teams, as well as vendors, to ensure seamless integration of front-end to back-end functionality of the website.
- Manage the website on its content management system, Modern Campus, and build and edit new webpages with an eye for design improvements and a quality user experience, including images, writing, graphics, and customized online tools
- Manage UX design and user testing.
- Configure and maintain website analytics to improve search engine optimization and digital marketing efforts, using search engine optimization principles and Google Analytics
- Test cross-browser compatibility issues to ensure a seamless experience for users
- Oversee the centralized web management structure, which includes meeting and training the college’s designated web users.
Online accessibility:
- Lead college-wide efforts to ensure websites and other digital properties are accessible and meet applicable WCAG compliance standards.
Programming and coding:
- Use PowerShell scripting and sequence development for back-end coding
- Possess extensive experience and knowledge of front-end technologies such as .NET, HTML, XML, CSS, JS, Semantic Markup; and back-end technologies such as ASPX, SQL and MySQL for programming and coding work
Cloud maintenance:
- Manage the website on its cloud service platform, Microsoft Azure.
Cybersecurity:
- Support the IT team with cybersecurity needs, to ensure the website is following cybersecurity best practices.
Project management:
- Lead website projects to manage, design, develop, test and execute new online tools in a timely and service-oriented manner with the Marketing and Communication and IT teams.
- Possess strong project management skills to coordinate with team members on the best way to proceed with requests. Identify any issues that arise with assigned requests and resolve them with team members in a timely manner with limited direction.
Digital communication tools:
- Serve as a lead for other digital communication tools, including digital signage, online emergency notifications and the SharePoint Intranet site called the Hub
- Possess familiarity with multimedia design, digital imaging and databases to provide expert consultation with the Marketing and Communication teams, IT and other college clients
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite software for online design development

Duties of this position require the following minimum qualifications in Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
Job-specific KSAs:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in digital media, computer science or related field
OR
- Five or more years of website management experience in an open-source or enterprise web content management system.
- Familiarity with databases, webpage scripting, programming, digital imaging, multimedia design, and web development.
- Advanced knowledge and management experience with cloud systems.
- Experience building websites using a Content Management System
- Experience with Section 508. WCAG2.0 (or higher) and ADA requirements for accessible content
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and sequence development
- Experience with the principles of implementing responsive design and mobile optimization
- Proficient understanding and testing of cross-browser compatibility issues.
- Understanding of search engine optimization principles and Google Analytics.
- Extensive experience and knowledge of front-end technologies such as .NET, HTML, XML, CSS, JS, Semantic Markup; and back-end technologies such as ASPX, SQL and MySQL
- Website design and content, including images, writing, graphics, and customized online tools
- Familiarity with UX design and user testing.
- Experience using all or some of the following: Adobe Creative Suite software

Terms of Employment
This is a full-time professional position contracted on an annual basis. The salary is $95,000-$105,000 annually. Scheduled to work Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the department.
