Public Relations Internship

Oliver Hospitality Public Relations Internship


 

About The Role:

The Public Relations Intern will be part-time, 3 days a week for 5-8 hours a day. This role will be fully remote, however, if located near one of our properties some time on property will be expected. This role is ideal for someone interested in gaining more experience in Public Relations and brand partnerships in a hands-on learning environment. This role reports directly to the Director of Public Relations and Brand Partnerships.


 

Responsibilities Overview:

  • Build and update all editorial calendars, local event calendars, and media and influencer lists for all properties
  • Weekly press hits coverage tracker
  • Assist with booking and detailing influencer and media stays
  • Organize PR files in Drive and assist with updating press kits
  • Track event coverage for all media/influencer events, activations, and visits 
  • Assist with photoshoots, events, and activations that take place on the property as needed
  • Trend & Market Research Reports
  • Assist with Monthly PR Reports
  • Assist with PR campaigns
  • Assist with drafting compelling pitches for our hotels and restaurants


 

Requirements:

  • Valid for currently enrolled college Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors or recent graduates preferably with coursework in Journalism, PR, Marketing, Communications
  • Passionate about the PR/Marketing Industry
  • A desire and eagerness to learn and grow
  • Experience with Illustrator, Canva, Cision, Asana, Google Drive & Apps a plus
  • Experience with professional camera equipment and graphic design a plus 
  • Must be a detail-oriented, organized, creative individual


 

Internship Details:

  • Start date January 13, 2025
  • End date May 2, 2025
  • 3 days a week, 5-8 hours a day, for a total of 15- 24 hours a week.
  • Paid internship at Minimum wage
  • IF FOR COLLEGE CREDIT- it will be an unpaid internship and we will need to receive confirmation from your advisor.
  • Perks: $75 employee rate at all company hotels, 40% off at all company restaurants.
