Salary:  The previously determined salary range for this position was $58,000 to $70,000. We strive to provide a competitive salary, considering factors such as available market data, internal equity, candidate experience and qualifications, and budget constraints. The final salary offer will be determined through a thorough assessment of these elements.

Description:

Position Summary
The Visiting Research Specialist provides expert-level oversight and management of cancer survivorship projects. This position is responsible for project management, including leading the development and implementation of strategies, systems, processes, and policies for program design and evaluation data collection.

Duties & Responsibilities
 

  • Monitor project activities, grant budget, data collection and management, and compliance of YAAS! activities and affiliated research projects.
  • Supervision and training of staff participating in related projects.
  • Monitor project activities on an ongoing basis and implement change as needed to ensure project progress and success
  • Organize training and community engagement data; assist with data analysis and contribute to writing of scientific manuscripts and/or grant proposals.
  • Collect research data and synthesize findings.
  • Provide oversight of IRB compliance and submit required IRB materials as needed.
  • Provide data for correspondence with the funding agency including the submission of progress reports and updates on project reporting.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop outreach, implement protocols, and evaluate outcomes.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in social science or related field required. Master’s degree in social science preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years related research experience.
  • Possesses and applies advanced knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices and methods
