The job duties of the Human Services Director include but are not limited to providing leadership, direction, and overall fiscal and administrative management of the Department, and to plan, direct, administer, organize, evaluate and implement all Chippewa County Human Services programs as prescribed by the Chippewa County Health and Human Services Board and the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) Board, Wisconsin Statutes 46, 48, 49, 51, 54, 55, 938, Social Security Act titles IV, XVI, XIX, and XX; to provide services for mental health, alcohol and other drug abuse for children and adults, child and adult protection, children’s MA Waiver programs, foster care, Kinship, and youth justice services, public welfare programs for clients eligible for economic assistance, medical assistance, housing, general relief and fuel assistance, Aging and Disability Resource Center; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public.
Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Business Administration, or other closely related field and six (6) years of progressive supervisory and administrative experience in human service-related programs -OR- a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Business Administration or closely related field and ten (10) years of progressive supervisory and administrative experience in human service-related programs required. Knowledge and experience with Wisconsin Human Services programs required. A valid driver’s licenses required and a cell phone is recommended. Starting Wage: $54.77 - $63.69 per hour depending on qualifications plus an excellent fringe benefit package. Maximum Wage: $76.43 per hour
