The Texas Diaper Bank VISTA Project aims to build infrastructure to support the organization’s fundraising strategy and overall capacity to serve through research, creativity, and advocacy for Texas Diaper Bank’s programs and services. Members will contribute to the Texas Diaper Bank VISTA Project's goals by performing activities such as developing relationships with community-based organizations, creating systems to manage information and resources effectively, assessing community and organizational needs, and developing evaluation tools to measure organizational capacity.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement an effective volunteer recruitment, development, and evaluation strategy.
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Grants team to build a list of prospective volunteers.
- Co-write volunteer descriptions with staff, determining volunteer requirements, and creating a plan for orientation and training.
- Implement a sustainable documentation process for volunteer management.
- Design a system to track specialized volunteer positions, trainings attended, and background checks that volunteers have received.
- Establish new partnerships to leverage additional sources of in-kind resources.
- Solicit in-kind donations from new partners.
