Professional Family Care Services is looking for individuals who are passionate about helping children live and thrive in safe, loving, homes by finding and approving Foster/Kinship families who will provide care, nurturing, understanding, and supervision to children in need.
The Family Worker works one on one with families to guide, coach and support them through identification, application, and approval process to become licensed foster homes. They develop meaningful connections with the families that serve to enhance the lives and futures of the families and the children they serve. During this process, information is gathered, and families are trained and supported to handle the challenges that may come with caring for children who have experienced trauma and a lack of parental care. The Family Worker is responsible for most aspects of the process including training, guiding, coaching, and completion of home studies.
Work originates from a family friendly, safe, comfortable office environment and branches out into family homes in the community. In a 40-hour week; a flexible schedule, generous paid time off and company vehicles allow for the ideal work/life balance. Work hours are Monday through Friday with occasional work on weekends for special events and on-call. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a field related to Human Services. The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, is flexible and organized and demonstrates professionalism.
Candidates must have a valid PA Driver’s License, clean driving record and Acts 33, 34 and FBI clearances.
