Marketing and Communications 12-month Internship

Join our Marketing & Communications team for a 12-month internship working alongside some of Longwood’s most creative and dynamic team. In this role, you will become an integral member of the team while gaining exposure to various aspects of marketing and communications, as well as hands-on experience supporting a well-known brand.
What you gain:
- Opportunities to create content, including writing and art directing for various platforms and audiences, primarily social media, but also including e-mail, website, print publications, press, and community relations
- Hands-on experience in (depending on interests):
- Photography and videography
- Creating and managing marketing, communications, and/or PR campaigns
- Social media management
- Website content management
- Event planning
- Knowledge of how to involve and balance the needs of multiple internal stakeholders
Qualifications:
We’re looking for a motivated individual with experience in content creation (primarily in videography), to help tell Longwood’s story and share what we have to offer with a broad audience on social media. The roll-your-sleeves-up candidate will work with staff members across the Gardens, while stepping in as a member of the Marketing & Communications team – learning from marketing and communications experts.
- Currently enrolled in or completed a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, video production, or a related field
- High degree of motivation, organization, attention to detail, and a creative team player
- Superior verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills
- Photography and videography experience with a keen eye for capturing visuals
- Knowledge of Photoshop and video editing software is a plus
- A valid driver’s license
