PR and Marketing Intern
We are looking for a motivated and passionate PR and Marketing Intern to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is eager to gain hands-on experience in public relations, marketing, and communications while working in a fast-paced and creative environment.
Position Overview:
As a PR and Marketing Intern, you will work closely with the owner to help execute PR campaigns, digital marketing strategies, and content creation. This role will offer you a valuable introduction to the field of public relations and marketing, allowing you to build your skill set and knowledge in a professional setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Media Outreach: Assist with the preparation and distribution of press releases and media materials to journalists, bloggers, and influencers.
- Social Media Support: Work with social media manager to maintain and update company social media profiles, including content creation, scheduling, and engaging with followers.
- Content Creation: Contribute to writing blog posts, social media posts, and newsletters, ensuring they align with the brand's voice and messaging.
- Event Support: Assist in the planning and execution of virtual and in-person events, such as product launches, webinars, and promotional campaigns.
- Research: Conduct market and media research to identify opportunities for brand exposure, partnerships, and trends within the industry.
- Analytics: Help track the performance of PR and marketing campaigns using analytics tools and contribute to reporting.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different platforms.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) and their role in marketing and public relations.
- A basic understanding of digital marketing concepts, such as SEO, content marketing, and email campaigns.
- A basic understanding of public relations, how to create relationships and foster them
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable with digital tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Canva, Mailchimp).
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A proactive, creative, and detail-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute.
Preferred (but not required):
- Previous experience (internships, coursework, or personal projects) in marketing, public relations, or communications.
- Experience with email marketing platforms .
