Instructor for Technology Courses

Technology For Youth is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced instructor to teach a variety of technology-focused courses for youth and adults during a six-week program starting January 7, 2025, running on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The courses offered include Robotics, Video Editing, Roblox Game Development, and AI and automation. The instructor will be responsible for delivering engaging, hands-on lessons, creating an interactive learning environment, and supporting students as they develop skills in these rapidly growing fields.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Course Delivery:
    • Teach courses on Robotics, Video Editing, Roblox Game Development, and AI & Automation to students of varying ages and skill levels.
    • Develop and deliver engaging, hands-on lessons and activities that encourage student participation and foster practical skill-building.
    • Utilize teaching methods that accommodate different learning styles and adapt lessons as necessary based on student progress and feedback.
    • Provide demonstrations of tools and technologies used in each course, guiding students through real-world applications of the concepts.
  • Curriculum Development & Preparation:
    • Prepare course materials, lesson plans, and assignments for each subject. Ensure all materials are tailored to the program’s objectives and fit within the 6-week timeframe on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
    • Integrate interactive tools and learning platforms (e.g., robotics kits, video editing software, Roblox Studio, etc.) into lesson plans.
  • Student Support & Engagement:
    • Offer one-on-one support to students as needed, troubleshooting issues related to course content, assignments, or technology.
    • Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and assess performance through informal and formal evaluations (such as quizzes or project assessments).
    • Foster a supportive and collaborative learning environment that encourages students to ask questions, explore new technologies, and work on projects.
  • Classroom Management:
    • Ensure all students follow proper safety procedures when using equipment, especially in hands-on activities like robotics and AI programming.
    • Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, teamwork, and active participation.
