ALSAC’s Internship Program offers an immersive experience where interns dive into our culture, contribute to organizational goals through meaningful projects, and build relationships with team members and senior leadership. Over the course of 10 weeks, interns are paired with a day-to-day manager and given significant assignments, gaining a true understanding of what it means to be part of ALSAC/St. Jude. ALSAC Summer Intern Innovation Project: Throughout the internship, interns will connect with innovators across ALSAC, learning the art of Design Thinking. Working in teams, they will engage in creative sessions and prepare to present their projects to ALSAC’s CEO and Executive Leadership Team.
Program Details
Start Date: June 2, 2025
End Date: August 8, 2025
Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
Pay Rate: $18/hour
Work Location: 501 St Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105

Requirements
A passion for our mission!
Must be undergraduate, graduate, or graduation as of Spring 2025.
Comfortable with Zoom and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Active participation in the Summer Intern Innovation Project through cross-functional collaboration.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Specific Internship Description and Preferred Skills:
ALSAC’s IT Division manages a range of applications to support our tech-enabled staff and fundraising efforts for St. Jude. In this role on the Program Operations team, you will experience IT through collaboration with engineers, analysts, and leaders across diverse software solutions in data, contact management, transaction systems, infrastructure, event management, and more. Learn more about IT, Divisional Program Operations, Communications (at the team and division level), and knowledge management efforts.
Review and optimize content for our Knowledge Management efforts to support user-driven or AI-enabled searches.
Assist with the creation of our end-of-year deck which features a cross-division review of our most recent year.
Compile data on our past year's communications activities for analysis.
Write for both technical and non-technical audiences by drafting, editing and proofreading communications for our internal business partners and divisional reports.
Majors preferred: - Information Technology; Communications, Public Relations, or Social Sciences with an interest in Technology/Human Computer Interaction.
Skills preferred: Strong Communication, Self-Starter with ability to prioritize tasks, Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams, Detail Oriented and able to follow a taxonomy or information architecture, Curious with enthusiasm for learning new technology
