Solutions Architect
YOUR DUTIES AND TASKS:
- Educate prospects on different platforms’ (eg: BigCommerce, Shopify, Magento, WordPress, etc) solutions by providing a consultative, best practices approach including analysis and analytics to match the prospect’s business and technical requirements
- Conduct needs analysis and technical scoping sessions with prospective customers to gather and document key requirements.
- Provide pre-sales technical consulting to the Sales staff by participating in online demonstrations, conference calls and site visits with our project managers.
- Site visits occur infrequently and will not be resumed until ongoing concerns relating to the COVID19 virus are resolved.
- Thorough documentation on prospect and client needs and project requirements.
- Become a trusted advisor and the voice of the sales and marketing teams to our prospects and partners.
- Work closely with the sales team to respond to proposals and RFP’s to ensure that all technical information and recommendations address client requirements.
- Where necessary, work with third party partners or solutions in developing custom solutions to meet prospect needs.
- Help create thought leadership content, white papers, and other sales or marketing collateral that highlights our agency capabilities for partners, prospects and clients.
- Develop new processes and practices to ensure our teams operate as industry leaders in their respective fields.
- Keep up to date with the latest features, capabilities, and applications released by different platforms to ensure we can provide the best guidance to our clients.
- Lead internal project planning and development of recurring solutions for frequent client needs (examples may include web application development for frequently requested features of e-commerce merchants).
- Support design and project management team members during project discovery to ensure UX best practices and scopes of work are anticipated for future project phases.
- Provide emergency development support for key Coalition clients and major accounts.
YOU SHOULD HAVE:
- 4-5+ years Solutions Engineering experience in a relevant market or in a similar senior level development position.
- Strong knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Experience with different ecommerce and cms platforms such as BigCommerce, Shopify, Magento, and WordPress
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar degree
- Experienced in solution architecting, project scoping and product demonstration skills
- Comfortable with a consultative presentation to C-level business executives as well as detailed, in-depth discussions with a technical audience.
- Experience with commerce solutions and applications including POS, product catalogs, order management, ERP and payment gateways.
- Sales methodology and solution selling training a plus
- Charismatic and energetic self-starting personality
- Ability to collaborate with and motivate multiple groups toward accomplishing a task
- Strong verbal, presentation, written, and organizational skills with a passion for winning
California, New York, Washington, and Colorado: starting base pay for this position ranges between $22.50- $35 per hour.
Compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills test performance, geographic location, and seniority of the position offered. Outside of California, New York, Washington, and Colorado compensation may fall outside the above ranges.
