Creative Intern

The Creative internship is more hands-on and personal than our general Development internship. You'd work directly with Jeremy Garelick (CEO, Writer-Director-Producer) and Matt Sacca (Head of Development) on priority projects, which may include but are not limited to:

- Script reading/coverage

- Script breakdowns

- Creating promotional content (TikToks, edited commercials, etc.) for our internship programs

- Pitch deck construction

- Virtual location scouts for upcoming films

- Actor and Director shortlists for upcoming films

- Creating American-High-movie memes for our social media

You would meet with us via Zoom once a week to go over the previous week's projects, and to receive a debrief on the upcoming week's project as well.

This position is highly competitive, so when applying for this position, we request a resume and any supplemental material you feel might help your application (portfolio, short/feature scripts, short/feature films, etc.). We highly encourage you to pursue school credit for this internship. The number of work hours required is determined by your school's respective internship credit rules.

If you're interested in applying, please submit your application through our Academy website's portal. We will review all applications by mid-late December and will get in touch with all interns who have been selected shortly thereafter.

PLEASE NOTE: There is currently an issue with our portal where the 1-minute application video we're requesting fails to upload. Please hang tight as we resolve this issue ASAP, and thank you for your patience!

After you receive confirmation that you will be interning with us, please email programs@americanhigh.com explaining that you're a Spring 2025 Creative Intern, and you'll receive a follow-up email with everything you'll need to sign and submit in order to get started. Matt Sacca will then be in touch to schedule a weekly meeting time for our recurring zooms.

Best of luck with the application process!
