Grants and Fundraising Specialist

Developmental Pathways (DP) has an opportunity for a Grants and Fundraising Specialist in our Community Engagement department. This position will assure the effective and efficient operation of grant (incoming and outgoing) programming and fundraising. The Grants and Fundraising Specialist will be responsible for organizing program work and maintaining effective and timely communication to ensure efforts match agency expectations and programming goals. This position requires practical judgment and analysis and the ability to make recommendations and perform their job with the utmost integrity, often independently.

Efficiency, professionalism, and communication skills are of paramount importance for this role The Grants and Fundraising Specialist will lead grants and fundraising to deliver outcomes for internal and external partners while adhering to the organization's mission, vision, and values. This role will successfully lead grant writing, administrative processes, records, and projects under strict deadlines.

This is a 40-hour per week, hybrid position, with the benefit of working remotely and in-person coming into our headquarters office in Aurora, CO and/or off-site locations

Requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in the field.

Must be familiar with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.), Google Sheets, Smartsheet, etc. and be able to use these and other required programs.

Two (2) or more years of grant writing/grant management or grant giving/foundation experience required.

Must be reliable, diplomatic, flexible, and demonstrate resiliency in stressful circumstances

Personal vehicle in good operating condition for use during work as appropriate

Valid Colorado motor vehicle license and proof of motor vehicle insurance

Ability to meet our driving requirements - no suspensions/ no more than two tickets in the past three years

Upon request, qualifying need, and approval, driving requirements may be waived in lieu of reliable transportation.

 

Preferred

One (1) year or more of experience in Developmental Disabilities and/or Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS).

A working knowledge of current issues and initiatives in the fields of disability, community resources, and education.

 

Additional Responsibilities

Meet with local organizations and providers to discuss funding opportunities

Monitor and evaluate submitted grant applications

Lead Review Committee meetings and provide recommendations on applications

Move approved grants through the agreement, payment, and reporting phases

Provide feedback to organizations that are denied funding or need to resubmit applications

Evaluate grant reporting documentation for successful implementation of awarded funds

In partnership with the Community Funding Manager and Community Engagement (CE) leaders, implement effective and efficient grant fundraising plans with the goal of increasing revenues year over year

Identify grant funding opportunities; write and submit letters of intent and grant applications

Complete grant reports for awarded funding

Participate on the fundraising team to support in identifying and implementing community fundraising opportunities

Work closely with internal and external partners and provide outstanding customer service

Support CE projects and events team in annual or ongoing agency and community events

Within established guidelines, assist with writing, editing and distribution of internal and external communication
