ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (CONTROLS-PLC-AUTOMATION FOCUS PREFERRED)

 

DESCRIPTION:

 

As an Automation/Electrical Engineer at AE Electrical Solutions, you will be crucial in designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems for electrical projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our Engineering & Automation Division.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Collaborate with the Engineering & Automation team to design, implement, and maintain control systems that meet project requirements.
  • Create electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and writing diagrams.
  • Select and specify appropriate hardware components, sensors, PLCs, HMI, and SCADA devices.
  • Develop PLC HMI and SCADA programs using industry-standard software
  • Configure and troubleshoot control systems, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Implement safety systems and protocols to meet industry standards.
  • Conduct thorough testing of the automation system to verify functionality and safety.
  • Collaborate with technicians to resolve any issues or malfunctions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of electrical and control system designs.
  • Generate technical reports and manuals for system operation and maintenance.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or Associate’s Degree with five years experience in a related field.
  • Three years experience in controls engineering with general management experience in the electrical contracting/ electrical controls industry

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

 

  • It will vary depending on the particular job. You may work in changing weather conditions and temperatures.
  • Able to work 8 to 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, overtime as required, and night shifts.
