What You’ll Get as a Bryson Fellow
The Bryson Gillette Fellowship will lead the way on bringing more diversity to the communications and political industries by preparing the next generation of communicators through a best-in-class program. We are seeking bright, talented, hard-working college graduates who are committed to making a difference, with the curiosity to learn, and the initiative to be successful. During your Fellowship year, you’ll be trained on skills to make the biggest impact in strategic communications, public affairs, and political consulting alongside innovative and visionary clients. Program components include:

What You’ll Learn
You’ll be working with an incredible team of professionals who are dedicated to teaching you about the industry and the fundamentals of public affairs, strategic communications, and political consulting, including:
- Designing communications strategies
- Designing a winning political campaign
- Pitching stories to the media
- Creating and placing advertising
- Tracking and analyzing news coverage
- Writing PR documents
- Interpreting research
- Drafting social media content

Who You Are
You are a hard worker and are highly organized. You have a problem-solver mindset with a can-do attitude. You have a strong desire to learn. You have experience working in diverse communities. You are a strong communicator and writer. You are professional when you interface with clients and partners. You thrive in fast-paced environments and you're ready to hit the ground running. Most importantly, you have a desire to learn and work hard. You’re an undergraduate or graduate student, eligible to work full-time beginning June 23rd and ending June 19th. The position may be extended up to 15 months and/or to transition to a full time associate position at the end of the program. We think you’ll bring the following skills and experiences:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivation, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated history of being proactive and a bias toward action
- Grit, a growth mindset, and a good sense of humor
- Previous internship experience in consulting, communications, public affairs, political campaigns, public relations is a plus
- Written and verbal fluency in Spanish is a plus
Compensation: An annualized hourly wage of $52,000/year
