Marketing Internship (Spring Semester)

Our mission:    We are YesTech and we are working with the National Science Foundation under the iCAP program. We have been tasked with building a mobile application to help reduce anxiety and build happier, more resilient friendships for Gen Z.

INTERNSHIP FOCUS - Get Hands-on, real life experience for you resume when you graduate:  

  • We are holding an Official Launch event for our new social media application that will compete with IG. 
  • Hold Beta Tests at different universities (including where you attend).

 

Overview of what we will be working on for Official Launch:

1. Pre-Launch Preparations

  • Build Anticipation
    • Teaser Campaigns: Share sneak peeks and behind-the-scenes content on your website and social media channels.
    • Landing Page: Create a compelling landing page with an email sign-up form to capture leads and keep potential users informed.
    • Referral Program: Encourage early sign-ups to refer friends in exchange for exclusive access or rewards.
  • Engage Influencers and Press
    • Influencer Partnerships: Collaborate with influencers who resonate with your target audience to create buzz around your app.
    • Media Outreach: Prepare press releases and reach out to journalists, bloggers, and tech reviewers for coverage.
  • Content Marketing
    • Blog Posts: Write about the problems your app solves, its unique features, and updates leading up to the launch.
    • Guest Posts: Contribute articles to relevant blogs and websites to build authority and drive traffic.

2. Launch Day Strategy

  • Social Media Blitz
    • Coordinated Posts: Use all your social media platforms to announce the launch. Create engaging content like videos, infographics, and user testimonials.
    • Live Event: Host a live stream or launch event on platforms like Instagram Live, Facebook Live, or YouTube to interact with your audience in real-time.
  • Press and Media Coverage
    • Press Release Distribution: Send out your press release to major tech and business news outlets.

Media Appearances: Arrange interviews or guest appearances on podcasts, radio shows, and TV segments. (we could have our interns do the interviews)

Participate in our group discussions focused on making the app more helpful to our users with interns from other teams on our weekly zoom calls (Sunday 6pm EDT and Wednesdays 7:30pm EDT).
