If so, Offline Protocol is looking for an iOS Developer to help build our cutting-edge mobile applications, delivering secure financial services and communication tools to users in areas with limited connectivity.

 

What You'll Do:
As an iOS Developer at Offline Protocol, you'll be responsible for creating, maintaining, and enhancing our iOS applications. Your role will include:

  • App Development & Architecture: Design and develop high-quality iOS applications that are intuitive, accessible, and optimized for performance.
  • User-Centric Design: Collaborate with designers and product teams to build user interfaces and experiences that prioritize accessibility and ease of use for our diverse user base.
  • Blockchain Integration: Integrate blockchain technology into the mobile app, enabling secure and decentralized financial transactions.
  • Offline Capabilities: Ensure the app functions seamlessly in low-connectivity environments, leveraging offline-first principles and edge computing technologies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly update the app, optimize performance, and iterate on new features based on user feedback and emerging technologies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with backend engineers and other cross-functional teams to integrate front-end and back-end features smoothly.

 

What We Look For:
We’re seeking candidates who are passionate about our mission and have the following qualifications:

  • iOS Development Expertise: 3+ years of experience in iOS app development, with a strong understanding of Swift, UIKit, Core Data, and other iOS frameworks.
  • Experience with Offline-first Development: Familiarity with building apps that work well in low or no connectivity scenarios, including offline storage, sync, and error handling.
  • Blockchain and Web3 Knowledge: Experience or a strong interest in integrating blockchain solutions (e.g., Ethereum, IPFS) into mobile applications.
  • User-Centric Focus: Ability to build intuitive, responsive, and visually appealing interfaces with a focus on user experience.
  • API Integration: Experience working with RESTful APIs, WebSocket, and other backend services to connect mobile apps with backend systems.
  • Version Control Proficiency: Comfortable using Git for version control and collaboration.
  • Passion for Financial Inclusion: Deep commitment to our mission of bringing accessible financial services and communication technologies to underserved communities.

 

Bonus Points If:

  • You have experience with React Native or cross-platform development.
  • You've worked with decentralized applications (dApps) and Web3 development frameworks.
  • You have experience building apps for markets with low internet penetration or developing apps for users with limited connectivity.
  • You have experience with agile development methodologies.
