College Internship Program
Information:
NVEEE’s Community Outreach and Engagement Subcommittee offers a rewarding opportunity for interns to build connections, amplify NVEEE’s mission, and develop meaningful relationships with community organizations, schools, and businesses. This internship is ideal for students interested in public relations, community engagement, or nonprofit development.The Community Outreach and Engagement Subcommittee focuses on the following areas: Volunteer and Intern Recruitment and Retention, Mental Health and Wellness, Strategic Partnerships, Secondary and Collegiate Partnerships, and General Outreach.
Students seeking the option to receive course credit should inquire with their academic advisor. We will work with the student and college advisor on achieving desired learning outcomes and completing all necessary paperwork. Additionally, please note that this is an unpaid opportunity.
General responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Represent NVEEE: Act as an ambassador at community events, educational workshops, galas, and other engagements to share NVEEE’s mission and work.
- Build Partnerships: Collaborate with local and national organizations, businesses, and elected officials to develop strategic relationships.
- Plan Outreach: Create and maintain a comprehensive outreach calendar in collaboration with NVEEE committees and community partners.
- Support Program Success: Work with the Programs Committee to secure inspiring guest speakers for NVEEE events, such as PALS and PALP.
- Strengthen Community Ties: Attend networking events (virtual or in-person) to expand NVEEE’s connections and identify opportunities for collaboration.
- Create and Maintain Databases: Update and manage databases of partners, speakers, and event participants to ensure seamless communication and follow-up.
- Event Coordination: Partner with the Creative Services Committee to produce marketing materials and ensure video and photo content is captured for sponsor recognition.
- Track Impact: Monitor and report NVEEE’s outreach outcomes, including people served and key accomplishments.
- Develop Outreach Plans: Assist in crafting engagement strategies for potential partners, organizations, and youth ambassadors.

- Analytical and research skills to identify opportunities for collaboration.
- Passion for NVEEE’s mission and community-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
