IT Support Specialist, part-time
THE ROLE
Xerxes Global seeks an experienced, proactive IT Support Specialist to ensure the smooth operation of our office in Minneapolis. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling a diverse range of responsibilities including Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for software, hardware, and networking issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT systems and provide exceptional in-person technical troubleshooting support service to employees.
Responsibilities
• Onboarding/ Offboarding.
o Laptop set up.
o Peripheral deployment and desk set up.
o Initial login and training for certain applications including printer set up.
o Retrieve laptop and peripherals from employee offboarding.
o Reset laptop with IT assistance.
• Hardware Support
o Laptop inventory/repair coordination.
o Monitors/keyboards/Mice inventory/repair coordination.
o Conference rooms – AV equipment set up/troubleshooting.
• Xerxes HelpDesk Agent
o Manage the company-wide HelpDesk by clearing tickets or assigning to the appropriate parties
• Information Security Team
o Cyber Security Awareness - maintain accurate user database — notifying support of Joiners/ Leavers. Monitor user training completed.
o ISO Policy Training - invite new hires for training and follow up on policy training completion.
o Work with Info Sec Team on Annual Training for employees
