JOB DESCRIPTION
Miles Muse is seeking a talented and creative Social Media Graphic Designer to join us for the Spring 2025 Semester. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling through graphics/video content and a strong understanding of social media platforms. The Social Media Video Designer will be responsible for creating engaging and compelling video content that aligns with our brand identity, editorial voice, and awareness.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conceptualize and create video content for various social media platforms, including Instagram and TikTok
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop video concepts and storyboards that effectively communicate key messages and engage the target audience.
- Edit high-quality videos using industry-standard software and equipment, ensuring that the final output meets brand guidelines and quality standards.
- Optimize video content for each social media platform, considering factors such as aspect ratio, video length, and audience preferences.
- Stay up-to-date with social media trends and best practices for video content, and incorporate innovative ideas into video projects.
- Manage the video production process from start to finish, including pre-production planning, filming, editing, and post-production tasks.
- Monitor the performance of video content across social media platforms, track key metrics such as views, engagement, and conversion rates, and use insights to inform future video strategies.
- Stay current with advances in video editing technology and techniques, and continuously improve skills to enhance the quality and effectiveness of video content.
- Collaborate with external vendors, such as videographers, animators, and voiceover artists, as needed for specific video projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A passion for the music and knowledge of the current state of the music industry.
- Has completed at least one year of a Bachelor's degree in Film, Media Production, Graphic Design, or related field.
- Proven experience in video production, with a strong portfolio showcasing creative and engaging video content for social media.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and their video capabilities, as well as current trends in social media video content.
- Excellent storytelling and visual storytelling skills, with the ability to translate ideas into compelling video narratives.
- Attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
- A passion for creativity and innovation in video content production.
