ASPIRE Internship Program - Summer 2025

Are you ready to dive into a comprehensive and hands-on internship experience that exposes you to the full spectrum of foodservice distribution? The Ben E. Keith Foods ASPIRE Internship Program is an 11-week, paid, rotational internship designed to give you an in-depth understanding of how a leading foodservice distributor operates.

What Ben E. Keith Foods Does: Ben E. Keith Foods is a leader in the food distribution industry, specializing in purchasing, operations, logistics, credit, marketing, sales, and meat processing for over 100 years. We provide high-quality food products and services to restaurants across the U.S., and our expertise spans the entire food supply chain, from sourcing to delivery.

About the Internship: Our ASPIRE Internship Program offers an unmatched opportunity to explore multiple departments within our company, ensuring that you gain a well-rounded perspective of the business. Throughout this rotational internship, you will work in key areas such as:

  • Administration (Credit, Accounting, HR)
  • Sales
  • Operations
  • Logistics
  • Purchasing

You will spend time in each department, working on small, impactful projects that will deepen your understanding of how that department contributes to our business. These projects are designed to give you a real-world experience of the tasks and challenges we face daily.

Additionally, you will collaborate with fellow interns on a larger group project. On the final day of the internship, you will present your findings and recommendations to senior leadership. Past projects have focused on areas such as:

  • Attracting younger generations to our workforce
  • Enhancing the intern experience for future participants
  • Solving supply chain disruptions
  • Identifying and addressing friction points in the supply chain to improve processes

These projects are critical to both your learning and the company's ongoing efforts to innovate and improve. By the end of the program, you will have gained a solid foundation in the intricacies of the U.S. food supply chain and how we, at Ben E. Keith Foods, play a vital role in it.

Program Details:

  • Duration: 11 weeks
  • Start Date: May 19, 2025
  • End Date: August 1, 2025

  • Housing: Interns are responsible for arranging their own housing and transportation for the duration of the program. Housing must be arranged by May 1st, 2025.

We are looking for highly motivated rising seniors who are pursuing degrees in fields such as Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Management, Finance, Economics, Animal Sciences, Meat Sciences, Technology, and related areas, with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

This is a paid internship, and it provides a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in real-world challenges, contribute meaningfully to our company, and lay the groundwork for future career opportunities within the food distribution industry.
