Summer Internship - Planning
Paid internship or co-op opportunity in our Planning department. The Planning Intern will assist our Planning department with various tasks and projects, such as:
- Conducting land use planning (comprehensive and future) in collaboration with municipalities in the BJWSA service area.
- Supporting the development and zoning review process for land development permits.
- Assisting with field data collection and mapping of utility assets using GIS applications.
- Attending public meetings, hearings, and community open houses in order to monitor policy development related to land use, zoning, and comprehensive planning that impacts the utility.
- Learning spatial analysis, design, and graphic communication using GIS to Adobe program workflows.
Open to students currently pursuing a degree in Planning, Landscape Architecture, Urban Development or a related field from an accredited college or university. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license.
