Use your powers for good as the Lead Researcher focused on Latinos for Marketing for Change, a national research and creative firm propelled by behavioral science and focused on social change.
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our research with the Hispanic / Latino population, providing insights that will help progressive nonprofits, foundations and government agencies to influence individual behavior for community gain. The successful candidate will support both qualitative and quantitative research studies, unearthing and framing insights that will lead to real world impact for organizations like the CDC, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and the National Institutes of Health.

Salary Range: Salary will be commensurate with experience, with an expected range between $60,000 - $90,000 per year.
About Marketing for Change
We are a research and creative agency that leverages the power of social psychology, neuroscience and behavioral economics to understand, influence and evaluate why beliefs, attitudes and behaviors change to advance social causes. Founded in 2005, Marketing for Change helps foundations, nonprofits, governments and companies “do good better.” Our 30-plus staff includes copywriters, filmmakers, designers, researchers, developers and strategists — not to mention musicians, artists, podcasters, kayakers, and mountaineers. Our work hubs are located in Denver, Orlando and just outside Washington, DC, and we very much prefer to hire people willing to locate in those areas. We are mostly a hybrid workforce with staff working together in-person at least a few days a week because we value the fun and collaboration that allows.
Minimum qualifications:
- Experience in consumer research. At least four years of experience in consumer, communications or behavioral research OR at least two years experience plus a graduate degree in a relevant field (behavioral economics, sociology, behavioral science, public health, etc).
- Expertise working with the Latino market. Demonstrated expertise conducting research, in both English and Spanish, with Hispanics / Latinos. Fluent in both spoken and written Spanish.
- Experience with qualitative research methods: Proficiency conducting focus groups, in-depth interviews, ethnographic studies, or other qualitative research techniques.
- Storytelling and presentation skills: Ability to translate complex research findings into compelling narratives and actionable insights for clients and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills: Strong verbal and stellar written communication skills for effectively communicating research findings and recommendations.
- Understanding of sampling techniques: Knowledge of various sampling methods and their implications for data accuracy and reliability.
- An innate curiosity and passion for learning more about what drives people’s behavior in a wide variety of settings.
Nice to haves:
- Proficiency in statistical analysis: Expertise in using statistical methods and software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R, or Python) to analyze survey data, identify trends, and draw data-driven conclusions.
- Strong numerical and data interpretation skills: Ability to interpret complex data sets and translate quantitative findings into actionable insights.
- Experience with survey design and administration: Ability to design, conduct, and analyze quantitative surveys to gather consumer data and insights. Curiosity, empathy and a passion for behavioral science.
- Experience managing large research projects, including project budgets, timetables and subcontractors.
- Experience seeking representative quantitative samples and/or participants for qualitative research, seeking bids from vendors and managing recruits.
- Prior publication in peer-reviewed journals.
