We are currently looking to add a Structural Engineering Designer to our team. As a Structural Engineering Designer, your responsibilities will include:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Working under the supervision of a licensed engineer, analyze and prepare project designs, calculations and drawings for steel bridges; pre-cast, pre-stressed concrete bridges; cast-in-place flat slabs; and
- Effectively apply pre-established design templates
- Approach tasks with an open mindset; propose innovative solutions to design problems
- Prepare engineering reports and contract documents for review by a licensed engineer;
- May track and provide initial review tasks of technicians or designers
- Responsible for managing timely completion of multiple assigned tasks
- Communicate effectively with team members and internal design groups; external communication as required on assigned tasks
- Effectively present proposed design solutions as part of internal project meetings; may attend and contribute to presentations with external parties
- Adhere to company marketing requirements by providing timely resume updates and participating in marketing campaigns
- Ensure timely completion of time sheets and expense reports
- Take ownership of personal career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop new skills, and setting and pursuing personal goals

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineeringwith an emphasis on Structural Engineering
