Human Resources Manager

Mercy Multiplied exists to provide opportunities for all to experience God’s unconditional love, forgiveness, and life-transforming power. Mercy’s Residential counseling Program is voluntary, biblically-based, and helps young women ages 13–32 break free from life-controlling issues and situations, including anxiety, depression, abuse, eating disorders, self-harm, addictions, unplanned pregnancy, and sex trafficking. These residential services are offered free-of-charge. The Mercy Multiplied Center for Wellness and Counseling is Mercy’s free-of-charge Outpatient counseling Program for men and women aged 13 and older. Our Outreach Services train and resource men and women to effectively support and minister to those who are hurting and struggling through workshops, videos, podcasts, discipleship teaching, and other practical resources.

Education: Bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of 5 years experience in an HR Generalist or HR Manager role or equivalent experience. SHRM certification is preferred or must be willing to obtain.

In the HR Manager position, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

Talent Acquisition

  • Develop strategy to recruit qualified candidates as Mercy continues to expand in new locations and ensure the ministry is maintaining a high-quality candidate experience.
  • Oversee recruiting and ensure effective interviewing and onboarding processes are being followed.
  • Manage the talent acquisition process, which includes recruitment, screening, interviewing and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborate with hiring teams to establish required skills and competencies, urgency of need, and status of recruitment efforts.
  • Collaborate with the hiring teams to promote open positions across the organization.

Staff Development

  • Oversee effective performance management system including annual reviews.
  • Ensure all employees are equipped and trained for their roles, including oversight of staff training, orientation, and the management training process.
  • Oversee organization-wide GiANT training and identify ways to incorporate GiANT language into organization culture.
  • Develop and manage programs that positively impact staff morale and foster a culture aligned with company values and culture.
  • Develop and maintain career development ladders, standards and programs, including a framework for ongoing feedback and growth, such as annual performance reviews and recurring one-on-one meetings between managers and staff.
  • Develop and oversee training and continuing Mercy education programs.

Retention

  • Regularly monitor employee engagement and satisfaction through annual surveys, manager interviews, and monitor exit interview trends. Reporting findings and recommendations to Senior Director, Business Operations.

Policy and Process Development

  • Ensure the ministry is compliant with all internal, state, federal, and licensing requirements.
  • Ensure the current ministry handbook is available and annual policies are administered to employees.
  • Annually review the employee handbook and submit updates/proposals to Senior Director, Business Operations.
  • Administer, design and evolve HR strategy policies, processes and systems, and ensure managers and staff are well-informed on policy protocols.
  • Develop HR policy recommendations and maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, along with recommended best practices.
  • Ensure managers and staff are well-informed on policy protocols.
  • Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, investigations, terminations and exit interview.

Other Administrative Functions

  • Ensure the department is benefiting from all functions of the HR platform (Paycom) and continuously finding ways to gain efficiency through automation.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies and attending education seminars and workshops.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law, and incorporate updates into HR framework as needed.



Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm (40 hours/week)


Compensation: $57,000 - $70,000/year
