Social Media Junior Associate

About the Job:

Taco Bell is looking for talented Junior Associates to join the Social Team for a 6-month contract. The Taco Bell social team is an industry-leading group that develops and builds a breakthrough brand presence, innovative programs and leading community engagement for Taco Bell across social channels and platforms.

The brand’s social team has been the brains behind some of the most culturally relevant Taco Bell campaigns over the past few years including developing the Taco Emoji Engine on Twitter, taking National Taco Day from a smalliday to a full-fledged holiday, and creating “Mexican Pizza: The Musical” for TikTok.

As part of this team, you will have the opportunity to learn the strategy behind how the team brings campaigns to life and contribute to creating content that will be seen by millions of Taco Bell fans around the world.

Junior Associates will have the opportunity to grow their marketing skills by evaluating and developing creative concepts, working with partners on timing and deliverables, go behind the scenes at brainstorm sessions, and more. They will also have opportunities for visibility with cross-functional team members and leadership (including lunches or coffee chats with key team members.) In addition, coordinators will be responsible for the following:

The Day-to-Day:

  • Monitor social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter (X) etc.) for real-time trends, news, and conversations.
  • Identify and analyze emerging trends and cultural moments that align with our brand.
  • Assist in creating and scheduling engaging and timely content that capitalizes on trending topics.
  • Collaborate with the social media team to brainstorm and develop creative campaign ideas.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices, tools, and technologies.
  • Support the team in managing and organizing social media assets and content calendars.
  • Support the team who engages with our social media community by brainstorming responses to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the tracking of the performance of trend-based content

Is This You?

  • Must be willing to contribute 30-40 hours a week for a 6 month contract
  • Recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Must be passionate and have knowledge of social media channels and the features specific to those channels including TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, and Snapchat
  • Passionate and stays up to date on the latest social media trends, pop culture and real-time engagement
  • Creative problem solver with the ability to generate innovative ideas.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
