What you will do -

This position involves serving as the intermediary between the public and the South Dakota Motor Vehicle Division. As a Telephone Service Representative, you will engage with a diverse range of individuals to handle customer service inquiries via phone and live chat. Responsibilities include providing guidance to the public, dealers, and county staff on how laws and procedures apply to their specific situations, and outlining the processes needed for vehicle ownership and registration compliance. The position demands investigative skills, independent judgment, and making decisions based on reason. Successful applicants will receive training on relevant state laws and regulations.   • obtain and provide information by phone in a clear and courteous manner;

  • independently recognize and define a problem, identify the resources available to help solve the problem, create and implement viable solutions, and follow through to ensure the problem is resolved to the satisfaction of all parties;
