Large Animal Hospital Veterinary Technician

The UF Large Animal Hospital was built in 1994 to provide advanced diagnostics and veterinary care to horses, cattle, alpacas, llamas, goats, pigs, and other large farm or food animals. We are seeking a veterinary technician to be part of our nursing staff.

As a member of our nursing staff, you will play an instrumental role in instructing veterinary students in technical skills, performing medical treatments and procedures as directed by our veterinarians, and most notably being called in to assist with emergency surgery procedures. Duties will include patient handling and monitoring, providing supportive therapy and treatments, assisting with procedures and maintaining a sanitary and functionally well-organized service within the Large Animal Hospital.
