Product and UX Designer

Product & UX Designer

25madison's innovative brand, customer experience, and digital product agency, Creature Studio, is looking for a Product Designer to join our studio team and serve as a key contributor to the design practice.

The Product Designer will play a role in the design direction, processes, and workflows of brand and product design efforts ranging from early-stage startups to enterprise clients. Additionally, this role will work in a fluid environment with strategists, product managers, engineers, content creators, and design leadership to help assess, ideate, validate, and create new business opportunities using design methodologies. The Product Designer should have a finger on the pulse of trends and design innovation, understanding how to create best-in-class software products across industries that connect with influential audiences.

What you'll do...

Build Products, Build Brands

  • Support the creation of thoughtful digital products taken from research to prototype
  • Work as part of our design team to identify design problems, devise elegant solutions, inform strategic design, and user experience decisions
  • Validate ideas and products through user research or usability testing
  • Take smart risks, incorporate feedback, and continually elevate the quality of your work

 

Support our Incubations through Studio Design Services

  • Collaborate with teammates and clients to test and validate business ideas and opportunities
  • Develop brand and product experiences to test and iterate marketing and product ideas with key audiences
  • Support our client work and internal incubations through on-going design support in marketing, product and sales initiatives
  • Help formalize the processes, tools, and workflows of the design practice with a focus on a system-based approach that can be used across the studio and its portfolio companies
  • Support the development of design documentation (e.g., style guides, templates, component & pattern libraries) to ensure the successful delivery of brand & digital experiences
  • Help drive the POV and design philosophy of the studio by understanding the role of design in the world and the businesses we create

You have experience...

  • In a web and/or digital product environment (2+ years preferred)
  • Working directly with product managers and engineering teams to turn beautiful wireframes and mockups into delightful and sticky software products for end users
  • Supporting primary/secondary research to identify user needs and opportunities
  • Translating research-based insights into creative opportunities
  • Bringing clarity and structure to complex systems or user experience challenges
  • Creating modern design workflows and a working knowledge of front-end technologies
  • Prototyping ideas quickly and iterating using tools such as Figma, Framer, Principle, etc.
  • Helping to define and conduct usability testing plans
  • Creating presentations and pitches for businesses that tell compelling stories
  • Supporting design and development workflows for platforms like Wordpress or Webflow

  • A versatile designer that can zoom out to think about overall brand experience and UX or zoom in to create simple UI components or brand assets
  • A hands-on contributor who enjoys building things; no job is too small or too large
  • Passionate about learning about the world, human behavior, and the motivations that lie beneath the surface
  • Curious about the future of design and the role that AI and other technologies will play
  • Prolific creator that has a passion for typography, illustration and all aspects of creativity
  • An innate problem solver with an ability to tame the complex
  • Self-motivated and can work with ambiguity; little or no direction required
  • Comfortable balancing multiple projects and being flexible across a variety of industries
  • Collaborative, transparent, and intellectually curious with a healthy balance of confidence and humility
  • A strong verbal and visual communicator

Additional Requirements

  • Based in the United States and authorized to work for a US-Based company
  • A portfolio of past work or the ability to share and discuss work samples
  • The ability to work remotely with a dispersed team
