Festival Production Intern

Job description

The Festival Production Intern will obtain hands-on experience with performing arts festival and event production. The internship will help foster your learning around festival and event production and you will be joining a team of experienced arts professionals in bringing our 2024 Annual Festival to life! The 2024 Annual Festival showcases various artistic styles and genres, from visual art and film to live contemporary dance and music, in indoor and outdoor settings.

Schedule and Responsibilities

  • Festival Internship dates, 4-Week period: Monday, September 9 - Monday, October 7, 2024
  • You can expect to work 20-25 hours per week. Working all performances is required (nights and weekends). We will work with you to best accommodate your schedule.
  • Production Intern will report to and work closely with the Production Assistant and the Event Producer; they will play an important role in supporting the performances, events, and overall operations of the 2024 Annual Festival
  • Set up of the outdoor and indoor sites including the stages and audience areas, box office, artist areas, and studios. Moving and setting up audio equipment, artist hospitality, property signs, audience chairs, tents, etc. It is at times a physically rigorous internship.

Qualifications - Experience preferred but not required

  • Interest in Kaatsbaan’s mission and commitment to serving the arts and its community
  • Stage or Festival Production work
  • Flexible can-do attitude; attention to detail; professional demeanor
  • Able to work as a team player in a fast-paced festival environment
  • Able to do physical labor, lift heavy items (30+ pounds), walk distances, work outdoors, climb stairs, balance, squat, kneel, crouch, verbally communicate

Pay: $400.00 per month
