A couple more details: Related to active COVID-19 pandemic and CDC guidelines

  1. Safety and physical distancing – We follow the CDC guidelines.
  2. Remote work & on location – Much of the work can be done remotely, unless you are covering an event or conducting an interview that is better suited for in-person. There is no office location where interns will have to go to in order to get their projects done. The following scenarios would involve showing up to a location and interacting with other people and places: (a) if we host an in-person staff meeting; or (b) if you are reporting on, photographing or videoing a person, event, or place, you will need to go in person, or if you are interviewing a person(s) at an event you may need to actually attend in-person to do serendipitous interviews
  3. COVID’s return forcing full remote courses – Should there be a resurgence of COVID and no in-person meetings or events could be held, we would only ask students to pursue news stories, features and projects that they could do remotely through the use of video / "zoom"-type meetings, interviews, Facebook Live coverage, etc.
