Sports Business Development Internship - Fall 2024

The Coaching Manual is looking for a dedicated college student to join us for the 2024 fall semester to learn the basics of new business development in the sports business industry. If you dream of working in the business of sports, this is the perfect opportunity to begin building your resume. The position is fully remote.

The intern will be the understudy of our Sales & Relationship Manager, Joe Davis, who has nearly a decade of experience in new business development, lead generation, and sales.

The internship will provide the opportunity to develop skills such as:

  • Prospecting Clients
  • Lead Generation
  • Appointment setting
  • Building a sales funnel
  • Managing a sales funnel
  • And other skills related to business development and sales

The ideal candidate is someone who has an interest in working in sports business, enjoys soccer, and would be excited to learn how a business increases its marketshare in a competitive market. Previous experience in sports and/or sales is a plus.

This is an unpaid internship. The student who is hired must have the internship approved for college credit in order to be accepted.

The internship will abide by the Fair Labor Standards Act in the following ways:

  1. A clear understanding that compensation is unavailable for the position
  2. The internship will provide training in an educational environment
  3. The student must show proof of college credit being accepted by a professor or governing body
  4. The internship will accommodate the interns other academic responsibilities
  5. The duration of the internship is limited to the semester
  6. The work will not be taking the place of an existing employee, but is rather a complement to existing work the company is doing.
  7. There is no expectation of pay at the conclusion of the internship
