Product Development Intern

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Research and Development team as a Product Development Intern. The Product Development Intern will assist the team in conducting research, analyzing data, and developing new products or processes. 

This one-year internship will provide valuable hands-on experience in the research & development field, as well as the opportunity to contribute to innovative projects. If you are passionate about science and technology and eager to learn, we encourage you to apply for this position. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Will participate in developing the integration layer to the legacy system to provide a new stream of payment processing to customers. 
  • Will participate in the development of modernizing a customer integration layer and new UI/UX of a product. 
  • Will participate in the development of a new Mobile Banking using a new technology stack. 
  • Will participate in standardizing and modernizing the legacy system’s backend. 
  • Shadow senior staff who will aid the intern un understanding internal practices, customers, products, as well as current and upcoming projects. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support R&D projects. 
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas for product improvement. 
  • Will participate in additional projects and tasks as assigned. 

Education:

  • Recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field. 

Technical skills / abilities: 

  • Knowledge and understanding of Java (Intermediate)
  • Experience with OOP
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience with HTML
  • Can develop JavaScript
  • Can develop in jQuery
  • Understanding of GIT
  • Understanding of REST Apis
  • Previous research experience or coursework in R&D is a plus.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, PPT, and Outlook. 
  • Fully bilingual required (English/Spanish)
