Coding Instructor

Job Title: Coding Instructor

Location: South Miami

Job Type: Part-Time

 

About Us:  Zaniac is dedicated to empowering the next generation of innovators through dynamic and engaging STEM education. We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Coding Instructor to join our team and inspire young minds to explore the exciting world of programming.

As a Coding Instructor, you will be responsible for teacteachsupportinghing coding and programming concepts to students of various ages and skill levels. You will create a fun and interactive learning environment, encouraging creativity and critical thinking. Your role includes developing lesson plans, delivering instructional sessions, and providing support to students as they work on coding projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and objectives.
  • Teach coding concepts using various programming languages and tools.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the needs of individual students.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in coding and technology education.
  • Collaborate with other instructors and staff to enhance the overall learning experience.
  • Organize and participate in coding events, workshops, and competitions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Current students pursuing a degree in these fields are also encouraged to apply.
  • Proven experience in teaching coding or programming to students (experience with children or teens is a plus).
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Scratch, or similar.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and engaging manner.
  • Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching and inspiring students.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with educational tools and platforms such as Scratch, Code.org, or similar.
  • Familiarity with robotics, game development, or web development.
  • Experience in developing curriculum or educational content.
  • Knowledge of classroom management techniques and strategies.
