Social Media Marketing Intern

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Social Media/Marketing Intern to join our team. This role will be responsible for organizing and capturing high-quality content, managing our local Instagram account, supporting physical marketing initiatives, etc. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social media platforms, intermediate photography and videography skills, and a creative eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and capture fun, engaging, high-quality content for social media and marketing materials.
  • Manage and grow the Instagram account under supervision.
  • Conduct physical marketing initiatives such as tabling and sponsorship events.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop creative marketing plans and ensure cohesive branding.
  • Monitor social media trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Engage with the online community by responding to comments and messages.
  • Organize and attend events to capture live content.
  • Analyze social media metrics to measure the success of campaigns.
  • Monitor and complete the content calendar.

Qualifications:

  • Some experience in social media management and content creation.
  • Experience with and understanding of Instagram and other social media platforms.
  • Intermediate photography and videography skills.
  • Creativity and an eye for detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and understand basic social media metrics.
  • Project management skills.
  • Basic understanding of marketing strategies.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Typical Day:

  • Check and respond to Instagram comments and messages.
  • Review and update the content calendar.
  • Capture and edit photos and videos on-site at Snag warehouse/on campus for upcoming posts.
  • Schedule and publish posts according to the content calendar.
  • Attend weekly and bi-weekly marketing meetings to discuss ongoing and upcoming campaigns with management.
  • Monitor social media trends and analyze the performance of recent posts.
  • Engage with the online community by creating campus-relevant posts, liking, commenting, and sharing relevant content.
  • Assist with the planning and organization of physical marketing events.
