Gen AI (Multi-Modal) Intern/Entry-Level Engineer

We seek research interns to join our Generative AI initiatives, which focus on language and multimodal technologies. At Unique Computing, we are dedicated to advancing artificial intelligence by developing innovative technologies that enhance our interaction with and understanding of the world. We seek individuals passionate about generative modeling, deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing, machine learning, and reinforcement learning. Our interns have the unique opportunity to make significant algorithmic advancements and implement their ideas on an unprecedented scale. Our internships range from 3 to 12 months, with various start dates available throughout the year.
 

Gen AI (Multi-Modal) Intern/Entry-Level Engineer Responsibilities:

• Develop Advanced Generative AI Algorithms: Create cutting-edge generative AI algorithms and systems using deep learning techniques.
• Enhance Algorithm Efficiency: Analyze and improve deployed algorithms' efficiency, scalability, and stability based on project needs.
• Conduct Innovative Research: Perform research to advance the science and technology of intelligent machines.
• Learn and Train Generative Models: Research and develop methods for understanding semantics and training generative models for diverse data types, including images, video, 3D, text, and audio.
• Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with researchers and cross-functional teams, effectively communicating research plans, progress, and results.
• Disseminate Research Findings: Share research results through publications and presentations.
• Contribute to Product Development: Apply research findings to Unique Computing's product development when applicable.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently has or is in the process of obtaining a degree in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Audio Processing, Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, or a relevant technical field.
• Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
• Experience with Python, C++, C, Java or other related languages, LangChain, Vector databases, API development.
• Experience building systems based on machine learning and/or deep learning methods.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science with a specialization in AI.
• Proven Track Record: Demonstrated significant achievements through grants, fellowships, patents, and first-authored publications at leading workshops or conferences. 
• Cross-Functional Team Experience: Proven ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment.
• AI Advancement Experience: Experience in advancing AI techniques, including core contributions to open-source libraries and frameworks in computer vision.
• Publication Record: Publications or substantial experience in machine learning, AI, computer vision, optimization, computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, or data science.
• Analytical Problem-Solving: Experience in solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches.
• ML Experimentation: Proficiency in setting up machine learning experiments and analyzing their results.
• Data Manipulation and Analysis: Experience in manipulating and analyzing complex, large-scale, high-dimensional data from various sources.
• Research Application: Experience utilizing both theoretical and empirical research to solve problems.
• Deep Learning Frameworks: Proficiency with deep learning frameworks.
