PR Account Coordinator

The Role: PR Account Coordinator 

Position Overview

LM and Kaha are looking for an Account Coordinator to join our dynamic team. You will be working as a remote Freelancer (1099 contractor), have 1+ years of experience executing PR campaigns in the B2B technology and consumer space. We are looking for someone who is very detail oriented, passionate and enthusiastic about our industry. Account work may also include written material such as content distribution, as well as monthly reporting. This is a great opportunity for someone with entry-level experience, looking to grow their career, be more client-facing, and take on more responsibility in a PR / marketing role.

You will take charge of execution, consistently delivering high-quality outcomes for various clients. You will confidently and transparently communicate with client contacts via email and calls as necessary. You will smoothly manage responsibilities across multiple clients, maintaining steady performance across various accounts and handling workload fluctuations. 

PR Key Responsibilities:

  • Honest and positive work attitude
  • Lead in the execution of media relations strategies, utilizing existing media connections and fostering new ones.
  • Coordinate and manage interviews, ensuring the translation of pitches into notable coverage.
  • Be hungry for media feedback, with great follow through and work ethic around media pitching
  • Update and manage our internal media database and curate distribution lists.
  • Play an active role in new business client calls, ensuring meticulous follow-up.
  • Assist in orchestrating events and meetings.
  • Represent the team while staffing media briefings.
  • Draft, edit, and fine-tune press releases and media statements.
  • Brainstorm and present innovative strategies for captivating reporters.
  • Contribute to the creation of press releases, pitch letters, and comprehensive communication plans.

Social Media / Marketing Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of content calendar creation (typically for B2B clients, LinkedIn, and X)
  • Draft newsletters for our clients
  • Suggest strategic branding changes and updates for clients where needed
  • Work closely with our graphic designers to plan and draft social posts for our clients
  • Drafting blog posts for clients

Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 other PR-related experience or internship
  • Authorization for employment within the United States.
  • Great writing skills (AP style)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication prowess.
  • An acute sense of attention to detail, coupled with exemplary organizational skills and work ethic
  • A team player, committed to fostering and cherishing positive work relationships
  • Must possess the capability to work independently without guidance and collaboratively as part of a team, ensuring attention to detail and high organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality, showcasing out-of-the-box thinking and creative writing skills.

This individual must be available 2 days per week (1 day in-office at our New York space and 1 day remote). 
 

Compensation:

  • Compensation will be dependent on experience, to be discussed. 
  • You will be judged on responsiveness (especially in a remote work environment), organization, attention to detail and professionalism
  • Actual pay is subject to experience and other determining factors.
