UI/UX - Product Designer Intern

Position: UI/UX Intern

Location: Remote

Duration: 3-6 months (flexible, with the possibility of extension)

Role Overview: As a UI/UX Intern at Classavo, you will gain hands-on experience in designing user interfaces and improving user experiences for our educational platform. Working closely with our experienced design team, you will contribute to real projects and learn the ins and outs of UI/UX design in a supportive and collaborative environment. This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to build their portfolio and gain practical experience in the ed-tech industry.

Key Responsibilities:

User Research and Analysis:

• Assist in gathering and evaluating user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers.
• Conduct user research to understand the needs and preferences of our users.
• Help analyze user feedback, usage data, and other relevant metrics.
• Support the creation of user personas, journey maps, and other research artifacts.

UI/UX Design:

• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that align with the company's design standards and branding guidelines.
• Design graphic user interface elements, such as menus, tabs, and widgets.
• Ensure that designs are responsive and accessible across various devices and screen sizes.
• Build page navigation buttons, search fields, and other interactive elements.
• Create original graphic designs (e.g., images, sketches, and tables).

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, present design concepts, and iterate based on feedback.
• Assist in communicating design rationale and decisions to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs.

Usability Testing:

• Help plan and conduct usability tests to validate design solutions.
• Assist in analyzing test results and providing recommendations for improvement.
• Participate in iterating on designs based on usability testing and user feedback.

Continuous Learning:

• Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UI/UX design.
• Participate in team meetings, design critiques, and training sessions.
• Take initiative in learning and applying new design tools and methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• Basic proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g., Wireframe.cc, InVision).
• A portfolio showcasing design projects, including wireframes, prototypes, and final designs (academic or personal projects accepted).
• Understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus but not required.
• Experience with usability testing and user research methodologies.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices.
