Sales Assistant and Recruiter

Since 1979, Engineering Services and Products Company (ESAPCO) has grown from a regional, two-person office to the industry-leading manufacturer of fabric structures, metal structures and greenhouses with over 30,000 products distributed through direct marketing, three online stores and two lead-generation websites. We are seeking a motivated and detailed oriented Sales Assistant & Recruiter to join our growing team and support our talent acquisition efforts.

 

The Sales Assistant & Recruiter will assist in the recruitment process by sourcing, screening, and coordinating interviews with candidates. The role involves close collaboration with the Sales Recruiter, Trainer, Support Specialist, and Human Resources to ensure a smooth and efficient hiring process. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong sense of urgency and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Candidate Sourcing:
    • Utilize various platforms to identify potential candidates.
    • Develop and maintain a talent pool of qualified candidates for future hiring needs.
  • Screening and Interview Coordination:
    • Review resumes and applications to shortlist candidates.
    • Conduct initial phone screens to assess candidate qualifications.
    • Schedule assessment screenings.
    • Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Maintain accurate and updated candidate records in the companies Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
    • Prepare and distribute recruitment-related documents and correspondence.
    • Assist with job postings and monitor the effectiveness of job advertisements.
    • Daily administrative tasks.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
  •  Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the sale recruiter, trainer, and support specialist to understand the requirements of open positions.
    • Provide regular updates to sales recruiter, trainer, support specialist, human resources, and hiring team on the status of candidates and the recruitment process.
  • Candidate Experience:
    • Ensure a positive candidate experience by providing timely and professional communication.
    • Assist in organizing and conducting recruitment events and career fairs.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience                                                       

Minimum of associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred, (or equivalent from two-year college or technical school) or 1-2 years of experience in sales recruiting or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Skills                                                 

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to author routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

Reasoning Ability                                                             

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
  • Ability to work in a fast- paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Computer Skills                                                                 

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of applicant tracking systems, resume databases, Microsoft Office Suites, and the ability to type at a minimum of 30 wpm. Experience using Paycom is a plus.
